Speaker – Will Kintish

Will Kintish (main site) qualified as a chartered accountant in 1971, aged 23 and stayed in practice for the next 30 years.

He ended his accountancy career as the senior partner on merger with a national firm on May 31 2000. The next day he set up Kintish to show people in the professional, financial and service-based communities how to attract more business and clients. How does he do that? By helping them become more confident and effective business networkers.

“Marketing selling and promotion is anathema to and uncomfortable for these people, I show them just how easy it all is”, says Will. “And, as a result of the new knowledge gained, they get all the new business they want.”

Speaker – Ruth Badger

Ruth Badger (main site) grew up in Wolverhampton. At 16 she left full time education, with just 3 GCSE’s, to join a YTS in the Civil Service. Her first big break was when she got a job working as a processor for a local financial services Company.

There she quickly excelled, was promoted 4 times in just 18 months, and was awarded with four company awards for performance, including the fantastic accolade of National Employee of the year for GE Capital, receiving an all expenses cruise around Europe.

She then doubled her earning potential by working for a national company based in Bury, selling loans and mortgages face to face in the home environment.

She then transferred her great business and management potential to work at the Head Office as Head of Sales and Operations, accountable for all revenue generation, and played a fundamental part in taking the turnover from 3.1 million to 13.1 million in 2 years.

She also played a major role in the flotation of the business on the Stock Market in 2004, and has four years of executive board level management experience. Then, the opportunity arose to apply for “The Apprentice”….

Ruth proved week after week that she was the top performer and excelled at all tasks, especially the sales tasks, outselling the top executives in the car trade and the letting agents, proving that Ruth has excellent people skills, interpersonal skills and the hunger for a sale.

Following her experience on “The Apprentice”, Ruth set up her own Consultancy business, Ruth Badger Consultancy Ltd and has done training and consultancy work for countless major international companies, helping improve their staff and profits.

Last year, Ruth also starred as a mentor on SKY One’s The Big Idea, a seven part series searching for the next big invention or business brainwave, and her inventor went on to win the £100,000 prize money.

She also has a weekly column in First Magazine, and is an Ambassador for Compton Hospice in the Midlands and for Young Enterprise North West.

To cap off a fantastic and very busy year, in November 2006, Ruth also won the outstanding Editors Choice Award for Cosmopolitan, for the Fun, Fearless, Female Awards.

Ruth has recently had her own six-part factual show ‘Badger Or Bust’ aired on Sky One, following Ruth’s fearless attempts to turn some of Britain’s struggling sales teams into winners, visiting a different classic sales business each week.

Ruth rolls up her sleeves and ensures that they perform. Either way, kicking or screaming… she gets results..!
